COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball (27-15-1, 7-10-1 SEC) continues its five-game homestand this weekend with a Southeastern Conference series against South Carolina. Friday's series opener is slated for a 6:30 p.m. CT first pitch.
Saturday brings a rare evening start time to Taylor Stadium with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. The Tigers and Gamecocks close out their weekend set Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. CT.
All three matchups this weekend will broadcast live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN. Ben Arnet and former Mizzou Baseball head coach Tim Jamieson will be on the call Friday-Saturday. Nate Gatter and Jamieson will have the call Sunday afternoon.
Fans can also tune-in to KTGR (105.1 FM, 100.5 FM, 1580 AM) Friday-Sunday and all season long, as Tex Little and Matt Michaels return to the radio airwaves.

Series History vs. South Carolina
- Mizzou trails in the all-time series against South Carolina, 14-7.
- The Tigers and Gamecocks met four times a season ago. South Carolina claimed two of three contests in Columbia, South Carolina (May 11-13, 2018), while taking a single-game contest in Hoover, Alabama, at the SEC Tournament (May 22, 2018).
- South Carolina last made the trek to Taylor Stadium two years ago (May 12-14, 2017). Mizzou dropped the series opener, but responded with back to back wins to claim the series victory.
- The Tigers have been victorious in their last two series' against the Gamecocks in Mid-Missouri. Four years ago (March 20-22, 2015), Mizzou also took two of three after winning the first two games of the series.
- The two teams have also met frequently at the SEC Tournament with matchups in 2015, 2017-18. South Carolina possesses a 2-1 edge in those postseason contests.
Mizzou Sweeps Season-Series vs. Missouri State
- Mizzou opened its five-game homestand in style Tuesday (April 23) at Taylor Stadium, tallying a 6-2 victory over Missouri State. The win clinched a two-game series sweep over the Bears this season.
- Overall, the Tigers have been victorious in four consecutive games over their in-state rival from Springfield.
- Mizzou's pitching was excellent Tuesday, tossing eight consecutive scoreless innings to open the ballgame. Senior RHP Jordan Gubelman and freshman RHP Tommy Springer led the way with 3.0 shutout frames apiece.
- Offensively, junior OF Kameron Misner launched his 10th home run of the season, en route to a multi-hit and multi-RBI effort at the plate. Freshman UTIL Cameron Swanger also delivered a big blow with a two-run double in the sixth inning.
- Mizzou maintained its perfect record in Tuesday matchups this season following its triumph over Missouri State. The Tigers now possess a flawless 9-0 record in those contests.
- Overall this season, Mizzou has consistently taken care of business in midweek matchups. Across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday games, the Tigers own a solid 13-2 record.
- The Tigers also continue to defend their home turf at Taylor Stadium in 2019. Tuesday's victory improved their home record to a fantastic 17-3.
