Tigers improve to 9-0 in Tuesday contests this year
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball (27-15-1) opened its five-game homestand in style Tuesday at Taylor Stadium, tallying a 6-2 victory over Missouri State. The win clinched a two-game series sweep over the Bears this season. Overall, the Tigers have been victorious in four consecutive games over their in-state rival from Springfield.
Mizzou's pitching was excellent Tuesday, tossing eight consecutive scoreless innings to open the ballgame. Senior RHP Jordan Gubelman and freshman RHP Tommy Springer led the way with 3.0 shutout frames apiece.
Offensively, junior OF Kameron Misner launched his 10th home run of the season, en route to a multi-hit and multi-RBI effort at the plate. Freshman UTIL Cameron Swanger also delivered a big blow with a two-run double in the sixth inning.

- Mizzou maintained its perfect record in Tuesday matchups this season following its triumph over Missouri State. The Tigers now possess a flawless 9-0 record in those contests.

- Gubelman delivered his second consecutive strong outing Tuesday, as he's tossed 5.2 scoreless frames over that stretch.
- Springer pitched effectively in each of Mizzou's two contests versus Missouri State this year. Over 7.0 total innings pitched, the Apple Valley, Minnesota, native recorded a 2.57 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and eight strikeouts.
- Dillard continued his late-season resurgence Tuesday with 1.2 additional scoreless innings against the Bears. The Tiger sophomore hasn't allowed a run in each of his past six appearances.
