
Goodwin Adds 3-Meter to NCAA Schedule

AUSTIN, Texas - Senior Kyle Goodwin (Aurora, Colo.) of the Mizzou men's diving team added 3-meter springboard to his NCAA Championships schedule Tuesday during day two action at the 2019 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in Austin, Texas. Goodwin punched his NCAA ticket Monday on 1-meter but qualified on 3-meter as well with a sixth-place finish on the board on Tuesday.
KEY PERFORMANCES
Goodwin, who only needed a top 12 finish on 3-meter to qualify the board for NCAAs, recorded a two-round total of 741.25 on 3-meter to claim a sixth-place finish. He scored 375.3 points in the final session after posting a prelims total of 365.95 on Tuesday afternoon. During day one action, Goodwin placed seventh on 1-meter to punch his fourth NCAA Championships ticket in four seasons.
Also earning a place in the men's 3-meter final was freshman Ike Khamis (Richmond, Ind.). Khamis finished 16th overall with a total tally of 632.9 points after totals of 329.2 in prelims and 303.7 in finals.
Freshman Sarah Rousseau (Melbourne, Fla.) led a trio of Tiger women in 1-meter action as well. Rousseau earned finished 28th on the board with a prelims score of 235.65, just ahead of freshman Tally Brown's (State College, Pa.) 234.7 for 30th.

Action at the 2019 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships concludes on Wednesday, March 13 with men's platform at 10 a.m. and women's platform at 2:20 p.m.
