Tigers match season-high with 16 runs scored for second time in three games
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball's (10-5) offense continued its recent momentum with a blowout 16-1 victory Tuesday afternoon over Arkansas State. The Tigers' 16 runs scored matched a season-high, as they also delivered the same run total two games ago (March 9) in a 16-11 triumph over Northwestern.
Junior OF Kameron Misner, junior SS Chris Cornelius, sophomore C Chad McDaniel and sophomore 2B Mark Vierling all posted multi-RBI games at the plate. On the bump, the Tigers used four pitchers over the course of the day, led by three quality innings apiece from freshman RHP Luke Mann and senior RHP Jordan Gubelman.
Mann earned his first career start on the mound, limiting the Red Wolves to one run while striking out a career-high four batters. Gubelman followed suit with three shutout frames while striking out a career-best six batters.

Hear From Head Coach Steve Bieser
On Holt Jr. making an impact all-around the field Tuesday…
"He's a ballplayer. I probably waited too long to get him opportunities. He's a guy who needed more opportunities. He shows up every day and he's such a gamer. He's a great young man. When he gets the chance to play he plays all out. He made a lot of really smart decisions today. We have been looking in the outfield for someone to take it and run with it. He deserves that opportunity."
