
@MizzouVB to Send Three to U.S. Women’s National Team Open Tryouts

Deberg, Member-Meneh and Omazic will make the trek to Colorado Springs
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball will have three representatives at the 2019 U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryouts this weekend (March 1-3), as sophomore OH Kylie Deberg, sophomore OH Leketor Member-Meneh and sophomore MB Tyanna Omazic will visit Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The tryouts will evaluate 218 athletes from 87 colleges across the country for spots on the U.S. Women's National Team and U.S. Collegiate National Team programs. U.S. Women's National Team head coach Karch Kiraly will direct the entire tryout process.
"We're very pleased and excited for Kylie, Tyanna and Leketor to get the opportunity to take part in the US. Women's National Team Tryout," Mizzou Volleyball head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "It's an exciting experience and the chance to be in the gym training with the best in the country is a great experience. We wish them well and know they'll do a great job!"

Deberg flourished in her first-year campaign at Mizzou, earning 2018 AVCA All-America and Southeast All-Region honors. The Hudson, Iowa, native evolved into one of the SEC and NCAA's top offensive threats, ranking top 10 in the league in kills, kills per set, points, points per set, aces and aces per set.
Deberg's 59 aces ranked third all-time in Mizzou single-season history, while her 522 points were the most by a Tiger since 2016.
Member-Meneh elevated her game in 2018, producing All-SEC accolades after resetting single-season career-highs in kills, hitting percentage, aces, digs, solo blocks, total blocks and points.
The St. Louis native tallied 17, 10-plus kill outings this past season, highlighted by a career-high 23 kills and 24 points at James Madison (Aug. 25).
Omazic also excelled in her first-year campaign as a Tiger, starting in all 32 matches at middle blocker. The Kansas City native reset single-season career-highs in kills, aces, digs, solo blocks, block assists, total blocks and points.
Omazic was consistently one of the SEC's top blocking threats in 2018. In conference only action, she ranked top 10 with 18 solo blocks, 74 total blocks, 1.07 blocks per set and 56 block assists.
