STORYLINES
- Mizzou Softball is headed to the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, where it will face off against three top-15 teams in No. 14 Arizona, No. 2 UCLA and No. 5 Washington, while also playing BYU and New Mexico State.
 - Those five teams have a combined 34-11 record.
 - The Tigers went 5-0 this past weekend at the Citrus Blossom Classic, outscoring their opponents 39-1.
 - Mizzou's current six-game winning streak is its longest since the Tigers ran the table at the Mizzou Tournament last season, going a perfect 6-0.
 - Mizzou's 8-2 start this season matches its best start to a season since 2016.
 - The Tigers blanked Troy, Villanova and UMass this past weekend, the first time Mizzou has shutout three opponents in a row since they blanked Western Illinois twice and Arkansas-Pine Bluff twice (4/25/18-4/28/18) last season.

OFFENSIVE OVERLOAD
- While the defense has thrived under Coach Anderson's tutelage, the offense returned to its dynamic form in Orlando.
 - The Tigers have scored 63 runs through their first 10 games this season, their best start to a season since they scored a whopping 91 runs over their first 10 games back in 2016.
 - Senior 1B Kolby Romaine was excellent for the Tigers in Orlando, going 6-15 with three doubles and two home runs.
 - Romaine registered back-to-back multi-hit games, going 2-3 against UMass and 2-4 against Iowa. She also homered in those two games.
 - Romaine leads the Tigers in RBI, with 10 so far this season.
 - Sophomore 3B Kimberly Wert had another great weekend for the Tigers in Orlando.
 - Wert led the Tigers in hits, going 9-19 on the weekend.
 - Wert registered three multi-hit games over the weekend, with two against both Troy and UMass, while playing her best career game at the plate against Kansas, going 3-4, including a three-run home run in the fourth inning.
 - Wert now leads the Tigers in hits (13) and home runs (4) this season.
 - Senior LF Regan Nash also had a productive weekend, going 3-4 at the plate against both Troy and Kansas, both of which matched her career high. Nash now has five career games with at least three hits.
 - Freshman DP Geana Torres continued her monster start at the plate, recording two home runs in Mizzou's win over Troy. She is the only Tiger with a multi-HR game this season, and the first to do it since junior DP Cayla Kessinger did so against Auburn last season (4/13/18).
 - Freshman DP/SS Jazmyn Rollin was lights out against Kansas, going 2-2 at the plate with two RBI and two SB. She is the only Tiger with a multi-SB game this season.

A PITCHER'S PARADISE
- The Black & Gold was again buoyed by great pitching performances. Senior P Madi Norman, sophomore P Cassie Gasper and junior P Nalani Scates all threw complete game shutouts in Mizzou's first three games.
 - For Norman, her CG shutout of Troy was her second such performance of the year. She nearly blanked Iowa as well, but still threw for a career-high 10 Ks over six innings of work against the Hawkeyes.
 - Norman currently has a 0.64 ERA over 33 innings pitched, which is the fourth best ERA in the SEC.
 - Gasper, meanwhile, is one of just 12 pitchers in the NCAA that has yet to allow an earned run. Of that group, she has the second most IP, with 16.1 to her credit.
 - She pitched her second straight CG shutout against Villanova, while collecting a career-high five strikeouts against the 'Cats.
 - Between Gasper (1) and Norman (4), Mizzou is the only SEC school with two pitchers in the top-5 in conference ERA.
 - Scates, meanwhile, was great in her first start this season, collecting her first-career CG shutout while striking out six UMass batters, the most Ks in a single game in her career.

IMMEDIATE IMPACT
- Several Tiger newcomers have made a big impact for the Tigers right from the start of the season.
 - Sophomore P Cassie Gasper, who made the jump from DII to DI, leads the nation in ERA, posting a 0.00 ERA over 16.1 innings of work so far this season.
 - The Tigers have also gotten a lot of power hitting from their newcomers, as sophomore transfer 3B Kim Wert and freshman DP Geana Torres are first and second on the team in home runs, with four and three, respectively.
 - The Tigers' most dangerous threat on the base paths is also new to the team, as freshman OF Danie Garrison leads the team in SB (5) and SB attempts (6).
 - Freshman DP/SS Jazmyn Rollin has also flashed her ability as a five-tool athlete, going 5-6 so far this season with three runs scored, one walk, one RBI and two SB.
 - Freshman pinch hitter Emma Raabe has also produced in limited action, going 2-5 at the plate with three RBI.
