
Mizzou Cross Country Receives USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Distinction

Wood & Revord receive All-Academic Individual honors
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Cross Country was recognized for its hard work in the classroom Thursday, as both the men's and women's teams received the 2018 NCAA Division-I All-Academic Team honor, announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA). In addition, Mizzou junior Kieran Wood (Cambridge, U.K.) and freshman Reilly Revord (Hinsdale, Ill.) each received the All-Academic Individual distinction.
To qualify for the All-Academic Individual honor, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 and finish in the top-25 at the NCAA Regional Championship, or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships. To qualify for the All-Academic Team honor, a team must have a combined cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Mizzou has received the All-Academic team every season dating back to 2006 (no cross country release in 2005).
Wood, who maintained a 4.0 GPA as he pursues his Master's in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology, earned NCAA All-Midwest Regional honors after finishing 19th at the NCAA Cross Country Midwest Regional in Peoria, Ill. Wood finished the 10K race at 31:21.9.
Revord, who posted a 3.48 GPA in her first semester at Mizzou, also earned NCAA All-Midwest Regional honors after finishing 20th at the NCAA Cross Country Midwest Regional in Peoria, Ill. Revord finished the 6K race at 21:07.2.
