Storylines
- Mizzou is 4-4 all-time vs. Auburn. Mizzou is looking for its second win on the road over Auburn.
- Senior Jordan Geist is coming off his first career double-double with a season-high 25 points and a career-high 11 rebounds vs. LSU. He is one of eight high major players to post at least 25 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals in the same game this season. He's scored 20+ points in a game five times this season after notching 15+ just six times in his previous two seasons combined.
- Geist is one of four players in the SEC to rank in the Top 20 in scoring (14.0 PPG) and Top 10 in assists (4.0) during league play alongside Tremont Waters, Quinndary Weatherspoon and Jared Harper.
- Mizzou has held opponents to 69 or fewer points 31 times in the Martin era, which amounts to 60.8 percent of the games with him at the helm. When the Tigers have done so this season, they are 10-0. The Tigers rank second in the SEC in scoring defense, allowing just 66.7 points per game.
- Mizzou is attacking the glass this season. It has outrebounded its opponent 13 times in 18 games this season. The Tigers have done that 35 times in 51 games during the Martin era. Mizzou is limiting opponents to 32.8 rebounds per game, which ranks fourth in the SEC.

- Senior guard Jordan Geist reached double figures for the 12th time in past 15 games when he notched 25 points (7-of-14 FGs) and 11 rebounds vs. LSU.
- Geist has five 20+-point outings this season after scoring 20 just once in his career previously. In those five games, Geist has committed just 10 total turnovers in 173 total minutes.
- Geist has scored 251 total points in 18 games this season, surpassing his season total from last season (242 points in 33 games).
- Geist has committed just 24 turnovers in his last 413 minutes played. He ranks 8th in the SEC during league play in assists per game (4.0).
- Geist has reached double figures in 66.7 percent of games in 2018-19 after doing so in 30.3 percent of games last season.
- Geist has improved his scoring average from 7.3 PPG to 13.9 PPG in one season. He is one of four players not named Preseason All-SEC to rank in the Top 12 in the league in scoring. Mizzou is 5-2 when he is the leading scorer this season.
Pickett and Suggs Stepping Up
- Freshman Javon Pickett has started and scored in 17 of 18 games in his rookie campaign, providing energy on both ends to spark Mizzou.
- Pickett had the best performance of his career against the Gamecocks, scoring 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting at South Carolina. He drained a career-high three 3-pointers and converted all four his free throw attempts while collecting a career-best two steals.
- Mizzou is 3-3 when Pickett reaches double figures.
- Redshirt junior walk-on Ronnie Suggs has played 59 minutes over the last three games after playing 52 total minutes in the previous 15 games combined, igniting the Tigers defensively.
- Suggs scored a season-high nine points and added four rebounds in 29 minutes vs. LSU, hitting his first 3-pointer as a Tiger.
