Poplar Bluff native receives his second Preseason All-America nod
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball junior OF/1B Kameron Misner was tabbed a Preseason Second-Team All-American by Baseball America, announced Monday by the organization. Monday's recognition marks Misner's second Preseason All-America nod this offseason, joining his Second-Team accolade by Perfect Game / Rawlings earlier this month.
Misner becomes the first Tiger to garner Baseball America Preseason All-America honors since former RHP Tanner Houck received First-Team recognition in 2017. Baseball America annually polls major league organization's scouting departments to vote on its teams and make selections based on performance, talent and professional potential.

Despite missing the final 22 games of the 2018 campaign due to injury, Misner produced a breakout sophomore season at the plate. He paced the Tigers in average (.360), doubles (nine), triples (three), on-base percentage (.497), slugging percentage (.576) and stolen bases (13).
Misner quickly jumped onto the national scene with a 2017 Freshman All-America campaign. He finished with 12 doubles, seven home runs, 34 RBI and 17 stolen bases in a sensational first year at Mizzou. Misner's seven home runs were the most by a Tiger freshman since Trevor Coleman in 2007.
Over his two-year career thus far in Mid-Missouri, Misner is a career .311 hitter with 75 runs scored, 21 doubles, four triples, 11 home runs, 59 RBI, 30 stolen bases and .908 OPS.
