Mizzou Football took to Faurot Field for its first practice on home turf during fall camp. In advance of Saturday morning's scrimmage, it was a light, 14-period practice with just shells on as the team looked to keep everyone healthy and ready to go for the scrimmage. It was a warm morning on Faurot Field, but the team's energy was where it needed to be for the seventh practice of fall camp.
Today, Mizzou Network takes a look at Coach Odom's talented crop of running backs in the group's position preview. The running backs are highlighted by junior RB Larry Rountree, who enters the year with 1,919 career rushing yards – the most ever by a Mizzou running back through their first two seasons. Rountree is coming off of a 1,216-yard season a year ago, scoring 11 times while averaging an impressive 5.4 yards per carry. Backing him up are a pair of true sophomores in Tyler Badie and Simi Bakare. Also watch for true freshman Anthony Watkins to make a name for himself at running back this season.
