COLUMBIA, Mo. – Following a perfect three-match stretch last weekend in the Mizzou Invitational, Mizzou Volleyball quickly returns to action Wednesday evening for its 2018 Southeastern Conference opener. The Tigers and No. 25 Alabama are scheduled for an 8 p.m. first serve inside the Hearnes Center.
The match will broadcast live on ESPNU with Sam Gore and Dain Blanton on the call. Fans can also follow the action online via WatchESPN and Twitter (@MizzouVB).
The Hearnes Center Ticket Office will open 90 minutes prior to first serve Wednesday. Doors open to the public 60 minutes before the match. Adult tickets are available for $8 while youth/senior tickets are $5 apiece.

Fan Promotions
- Tiger fans are encouraged to arrive early prior to Wednesday's matchup and attend the popular Kids Carnival, featuring a bounce house, appearance by Truman the Tiger, Mizzou cheerleaders and more.
- Fans in attendance to the match will receive an exclusive "Point Mizzou" foam finger giveaway, while supplies last.
- Additionally, following Mizzou and Alabama's meeting, fans are encouraged to head to the main court for post-match autographs with the 2018 Tigers.
Series Snapshot vs. Alabama
- Mizzou leads the all-time series over Alabama, 8-3.
- The Tigers have claimed four straight wins in the all-time series, including a pair of victories last season (3-0 at Tuscaloosa – Oct. 1 // 3-0 in Columbia – Nov. 22).
Mizzou in SEC Openers
- The Tigers are 5-1 all-time in SEC season openers.
- All six of Mizzou's SEC openers have taken place at the Hearnes Center since joining its new conference in 2012.
- The Tigers reeled off five straight wins in SEC openers before dropping a 3-1 matchup to Kentucky in 2017.
Tigers Tally Mizzou Invitational Championship, Second Title of Non-Conference Schedule
- Following nine consecutive matches on the road to open the year, the Tigers made their long awaited home debut last weekend in the Mizzou Invitational (Sept. 14-15). The Tigers outscored their opponents, 9-1, en route to a perfect record and a Mizzou Invitational crown.
- Sophomore OH Leketor Member-Meneh (MVP) and sophomore OH Kylie Deberg were named to the Mizzou Invitational All-Tournament Team, following exceptional three-match stretches on the court.
- Member-Meneh recorded 35 kills (3.50 per set) on .371 hitting with five total blocks, while Deberg posted 37 kills (3.70 per set) on .349 hitting with six aces.
