A Look Inside the Mizzou South End Zone Project
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Athletics and The Tiger Scholarship Fund announced today that suite sales have begun in the brand new $98 million renovation of Memorial Stadium's South End Zone Facility, and sales will run through late summer. Suites will range in size from 14-22 guests with red zone views of the action, high-end interior finishes, televisions, private restrooms and concierge service.
The South End Zone will feature 16 suites, 1,254 club seats with an exclusive indoor club lounge providing a best-in-class gameday atmosphere. The South End Zone will also feature a 750-person bunker club similar to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the home of the SEC Championship Game, in Atlanta, GA. A new concourse will not only link the stadium's East and West side but provide new restrooms and concessions for all fans to enjoy. A full-service kitchen will be constructed in the facility to service the new premium areas, and new video boards will enhance the Mizzou game-day experience for all fans.
The first eight months of the sales process will be designed to give Tiger Scholarship Fund members their priority based on donor giving levels to look at the premium seating opportunities. Once the TSF team has provided all its donors the opportunity to purchase suites and club seats, we will then begin contacting those members of the South End Zone "Insiders List." The Insiders List will allow all other loyal Mizzou Tiger fans to sign up and gain priority access to look at remaining premium seating opportunities after TSF donors, but prior to the general public. In addition, members of our Insiders List will receive email updates as the project progresses. Current TSF members do not need to sign up on the "Insiders List," however, everyone else is encouraged to sign up today to secure their spot in Mizzou Football history at mizzousouthendzone.com.
The Athletics Department also announced a redesign of the South End Zone website, mizzousouthendzone.com. Never before released images and a sleek new format highlighted with the virtual tour of the South End Zone perfectly paint the picture of what 2019 game days will be like. Club seat sales will begin in late July and run through January 2019 to provide ample time for each TSF member to visit the South End Zone preview center, discuss opportunities in person or over the phone with a TSF representative.
As a self-supporting athletics department in the SEC, to help fund the $98 million cost of construction of the South End Zone project, a one-time capital gift is required for all suites and seats in the new premium seating areas. In addition, capital gifts are transferrable one-time to a spouse or child.
"We're pleased with the enthusiasm our loyal donors continue to show for this exciting project as we move into our sales campaign," said Jim Sterk, University of Missouri Director of Athletics. "We look forward to continuing to meet with our loyal TSF members over the next eight months at our on-campus preview center to walk them through the premium seating opportunities that will be available to them beginning in 2019."
