
Goodwin, Kieser Add Second NCAA Events During Day Two at Zones

MINNEAPOLIS – Junior Kyle Goodwin (Aurora, Colo.) and senior Kendra Kieser (Plano, Texas) of the Mizzou men's and women's diving programs added NCAA Championships qualifications Tuesday on their second springboards during day two action of the 2018 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.
As both Tigers punched their tickets to NCAAs on Monday, they only needed top 12 finishes on their respective vents Tuesday to qualify to compete those events at NCAAs.
KEY TIGERS
Kieser, who clinched her first-career NCAA Championships invite on Monday, took eighth on 3-meter on Tuesday afternoon. She posted a season-best score of 326.8 in the finals, which put her event total at 645.2 after a prelims total of 318.4.
Goodwin concluded his Zones action with an 11th-place finish on 1-meter Tuesday evening. The junior posted near identical tallies of 338.5 in prelims and 336.25 in finals for a day total of 674.75.
Also claiming a place in the men's 1-meter final was sophomore Andy Kreiter (Beaverton, Ore.). He finished 17th overall with a two-round tally of 616.35 after totals of 305.15 in finals and 318.4 in prelims.

The NCAA Zone D Diving Championships conclude on Wednesday, March 7 with women's 3-meter prelims at 11 a.m. and men's 1-meter prelims at 5:45 p.m.
