
@MUWomensGolf to Compete in Bruzzy Challenge

Mizzou faces 13 other teams in at the two-day tournament
CARROLLTON, Texas – Mizzou Women's Golf continues its spring campaign at the inaugural Bruzzy Challenge on Monday and Tuesday. The two-day tournament is taking place at the par-72, 6,355-yard Maridoe Golf Club outside of Dallas.
The Bruzzy Challenge launches Monday at 8:30 a.m. CT via shotgun start. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and wrap up with the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Joining Mizzou in the field will be Boston College, BYU, Houston, Iowa, Kansas State, North Texas, San Diego State, SMU, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, UTSA and UT Arlington. Houston (No. 26), Texas A&M (No. 38) and Texas Tech (No. 50) all enter the event ranked.
Mizzou's lineup at the Bruzzy Challenge includes junior Emma Allen, sophomore Jessica Yuen, senior Clara Young, junior Cayce Hendrickson and junior Amanda Kim. Junior Cherise Otter will also compete as an individual.
Hendrickson is coming off the best tournament of her career after finishing tied for eighth overall at the MountainView Collegiate in Tucson, Arizona. The junior fired a career low 218 and earned the first Top-10 finish of her career.
The Tigers are also led by Yuen and Allen. Yuen boasts a team-low 72.3 scoring average. She enters the Bruzzy Challenge with 10 rounds under par during her junior campaign. She is ranked No. 101 nationally in the most recent Golfstat rankings. Allen owns the second-best scoring average on the squad, 73.1, heading in to Monday's tournament. Allen is looking to finish her fifth tournament under-par this season.
