Hear From Coach Fogue
On Friday's doubleheader…
"We had a lot of things not fall our way today across both games. Game one was really a battle by both teams and Madi (Norman) pitched her butt off for us. I wish we were able to deliver one more key hit in that game and give her a win that she really deserved. We've struggled with situational hitting all season and it showed again in key situations tonight. If we find a way to come through in certain spots then obviously a lot of our outcomes differ this year. While today's two losses were tough, we still have an opportunity tomorrow to get another nationally ranked and SEC win. We need to come to the ballpark focused and take care of business."
#MIZ Takeaways
- Sanchez extended her safely reached base streak to 32 consecutive games following Friday's doubleheader. She is now tied for second place all-time in program history with Sami Fagan (2015) and Jen Bruck (2008).

Heading into Saturday's series finale, the Saugus, California, native is hitting .407 (11-for-27) with five runs scored, two doubles, one home run and two RBI in conference action.
