Tigers let 7-3 lead in fifth inning slip away
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Mizzou Softball (19-17, 2-7 SEC) and Arkansas' offenses both exploded Sunday in the series finale with the Razorbacks ultimately claiming a 10-7 victory. A wild fifth inning was the deciding factor at Bogle Park, as the Tigers first recorded six runs on seven hits to take a 7-3 lead.
The four-run advantage was short-lived for Mizzou however, as the host Razorbacks answered immediately with seven runs in the bottom half of the inning. In all, five pitchers between the two teams Sunday surrendered three-plus runs in the circle as both offenses reigned supreme.

Hear From Coach Fogue
On Sunday's series finale…
"Today was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions for both teams. We finally broke through in the fifth inning on offense, as tons of people stepped up and delivered in clutch situations. When you produce a big inning like that on offense it's critical that you come back in the circle and on defense and tally a zero on the scoreboard. Unfortunately, we weren't able to do that and things just got away from us really quick. After we lost that momentum from the top of the fifth, it was really tough to mentally come back from that."
