Mizzou will compete April 4-8
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Mizzou Cheer squads and Mizzou's mascot, Truman the Tiger, will once again compete at the National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate Championships, which will be held April 4-8 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Mizzou's cheer teams have recorded top-10 finishes at Nationals for each of the past 16 years. Last season, Mizzou's All-Girl squad earned runner-up honors, while Truman placed fourth and Large Coed placed sixth.
All the routines can be viewed at varsity.com and will be shown on the CBS Sports Network later in May.
There will be a Friends and Family Showing of the Nationals Routines, along with Truman's skit on Monday, April 2 at 6 p.m., at Mizzou Arena before the team departs for Daytona. The Showing is free and open to the public so come out and see what the cheerleaders and Truman have been working hard on.
