COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Softball inked seven future student-athletes to National Letters of Intent, announced Wednesday (Nov. 14) by head coach Larissa Anderson. The group will make its collective debut at Mizzou Softball Stadium during the 2020 season. The class was recently ranked as the 38th best in the nation by Extra Innings Softball.
Kendal Cook, Hannah McGivern, Megan Moll, Emma Nichols, Megan Schumacher, Lindsey Warick and Jordan Weber make up Anderson's first class as Mizzou's head coach. The group, which is made up of players that all hail from either the Midwest or the Northeast, has Anderson's fingerprints all over it. The seven talented individuals will provide depth for Anderson's future squads, specifically in the bullpen.
"I'm excited to welcome these seven future Tigers to our program," Anderson said. "We have tremendous depth and versatility within this class which includes three pitchers and four other position players with speed, power and athleticism. What most excites me about the student athletes in this class is their passion for Mizzou Softball and their desire to be a part of the next generation of this program. They are fierce competitors with a tremendous amount of potential. That potential combined with their drive and determination is going to make this class special."

Cook was excellent at the plate during her most recent season, hitting .558 with 31 RB, three home runs and eight triples in just 21 games. For her efforts, Cook was named First-Team All-State after helping lead Horseheads High School to a sectional championship. Cook chose Mizzou over Hofstra, UMass, Clemson and Syracuse.

Hannah McGivern – SS/2B (Weston, Mo.)

McGivern's most recent campaign for West Platte High School was a good one, as she hit .348 with a .414 on base percentage. She also launched 19 home runs in her most recent season. She chose Mizzou over Clemson, Rockhurst and West Point.

Megan Moll – C / UT (Eureka, Mo.)

Moll had a big season for Eureka as a junior, batting .500 (47-for-94) with 13 home runs, 51 RBI and 16 stolen bases. As a senior, she hit .487 (38-for-78) with 11 home runs and 32 RBI to go along with 18 stolen bases in 28 games. For her efforts, she was named All-State after both seasons. She is currently ranked 89th on the Extra Innings Softball Extra Elite 100 list and 85th on FloSoftball's Hot 100.

Nichols has enjoyed a truly brilliant career at Hillsboro High School and with the St. Louis Chaos. She was recently named to Missouri's Class 4A All-State team, and was an all-conference, all-district and all-region selection every year that she played for Hillsboro High School. She was also recently named the JCAA Conference Co-player of the year. Nichols chose Mizzou over Iowa.

Another highly touted player coming in with this class, Schumacher is currently ranked 87th on the Extra Innings Softball Extra Elite 100 list, and was also named a USA Elite Select 30 First-Team All-American in 2016 and 2017. She was also highly decorated at the state and regional levels, as she was named All-League in 2016-18, All-Section in 2017-18 and was named All-State in 2018. Schumacher chose Mizzou over Georgia, Boston College, Minnesota, Hofstra and others.

Warick was a force at the plate as a junior, hitting a ridiculous .616 with eight home runs and 54 RBI. She is currently ranked as the 125th player in FloSoftball's rankings system. Warick was named First-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-Group in 2017 and 2018, while earning First-Team All-State honors in 2018. Warick chose Mizzou over Clemson.

Weber joins Anderson's bullpen, and fits right in, evidenced by her dominant play in the circle throughout her high school and club careers. In her career, Weber has amassed 852 strikeouts with a career ERA of 1.17. For her outstanding play, she was named First-Team at the conference, district, region and state levels for three years in a row. She was also named Kansas City's high school player of the year in 2017. Weber chose Mizzou over Kansas and Valparaiso.
