
Goodwin Nabs Second Third-Place Finish at Tennessee Diving Invitational

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Junior Kyle Goodwin (Aurora, Colorado) claimed his second third-place finish in as many days as the izzou diving teams opened continued competition Thursday at the three-day Tennessee Diving Invitational in Knoxville, Tennessee.
KEY PERFORMERS
Goodwin posted a third-place finish on 1-meter on Thursday with a finals tally of 348.35 one day after the junior took third on 3-meter. He closed Thursday's final with a 66.65 on his final dive of the day, an inward 2 1/2 somersault tuck. He notched a score of 355.8 in prelims to advance to the afternoon final.
On the women's side, senior Kendra Kieser (Plano, Texas) narrowly missed a spot in the women's 3-meter final. She finished 14th with a prelims total of 276.4, just over two points away from the 12th and final berth.
