COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball will have three representatives at the 2018 U.S. Women's National Team open tryouts this weekend, as redshirt freshman Kayla Caffey (Chicago, Ill.), junior Alyssa Munlyn (Suwanee, Ga.) and redshirt sophomore Riley Sents (Grundy Center, Iowa) will visit Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Over 220 athletes from 90 colleges will compete from March 2-4 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. U.S. Women's National Team Head Coach Karch Kiraly will direct this year's tryout process. The full tryout will involve four sessions with three waves per session.

Selected athletes for the U.S. Women's National Team may begin training in Anaheim, California, as early as Spring 2018, or when the athlete's scholastic or professional club season has concluded. Selections for the U.S. Collegiate National Teams will be announced in March.

"We're excited about this great opportunity for Kayla, Alyssa and Riley," Mizzou Volleyball head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "Having been involved as a coach in USA Volleyball, I know what a great experience they are going to have at the Olympic Training Center. It will be a great weekend of volleyball with all of the top collegiate players in the country. I think they all have a great shot at making one of the select teams. We're all very happy that they will be representing Mizzou Volleyball and the University of Missouri this weekend!"

Caffey was selected to the 2017 Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team after a breakout first-year campaign at Mizzou. The Tiger middle blocker recorded 202 kills on .323 hitting with 21 solo blocks, 130 total blocks and 300.5 points. Caffey's 130 total blocks ranked fifth in the SEC and placed top 10 all-time in a single-season in Mizzou history.

Munlyn once again proved herself as one of the NCAA's elite middle blockers, collecting her third-straight AVCA All-America, AVCA All-Southeast Region and All-SEC honors. Her 189 total blocks reset the single-season program record for the third consecutive year, while ranking second in the SEC and fifth in the NCAA. Munlyn will enter her 2018 senior campaign already ranked second in career total blocks (491), second in career block assists (400) and fourth in career solo blocks (91).

Sents enjoyed a stellar 2017 sophomore campaign after stepping in as the Tigers' starting libero. Her 461 total digs ranked top 10 in the SEC and placed ninth all-time in a single-season in Mizzou history. Sents played a key role into the Tigers' NCAA Sweet 16 run last season, as she produced 33 digs (3.67 per set) in victories over No. 19 Kansas and No. 16 Wichita State.
