COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball finally returns to the friendly confines of the Hearnes Center Wednesday (Sept. 20) for its 2017 home and Southeastern Conference opener. The Tigers will meet No. 10 Kentucky with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
The match will broadcast live on SEC Network with Dawn Davenport and Missy Whittemore on the call. Fans can also tune-in online via WatchESPN.
The Hearnes Center ticket office will open at 5:30 p.m. CT with adult tickets available for $8 apiece and youth/seniors (ages 65-plus) tickets available for $5 each. Event doors will open one hour prior to first serve.

Series Snapshot vs. Kentucky
- Mizzou leads the all-time series, 5-4.
- Mizzou leads the series in all-time matches played in Columbia, Mo., 2-1.
- In the last meeting, Mizzou tallied a 3-0 sweep over the Wildcats in Lexington, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2016).
- Mizzou has claimed three straight in the series, including five of the last six matchups.
Tigers Enter Conference Play on High Note
- Mizzou brings momentum into its SEC and home opener, claiming three consecutive victories and a championship at the Wolf Pack Tournament in Reno, Nev. (Sept. 15-16).
- The Tigers were stretched to five sets in their final two matches, but prevailed in both and improved their five-set match record this season to 3-2.
- Over their two-day stretch in Nevada, the Tigers were sensational once again with their blocking efforts. Overall, Mizzou posted 50 total blocks over its three matches (13 sets played) at the Wolf Pack Tournament.
- The Tigers' 15 solo blocks, 70 block assists and 3.85 blocks per set all played huge dividends to their perfect weekend record.
Blocking Continues to Shine for Mizzou
- For the 2017 campaign, Mizzou possesses 152 total blocks, ranking first in the SEC and fourth in the NCAA. Additionally, its 2.92 collective blocks per set ranks third in the SEC and 18th in the NCAA.
- Individually, junior Alyssa Munlyn continues to steal the show defensively at the net. At the Wolf Pack Tournament, Munlyn posted 21 total blocks (1.62 per set), including her second double-digit total block match this season.
- Within the conference and national statistical rankings, Munlyn's 77 total blocks ranks first in the SEC and fourth in the NCAA, while her 1.48 blocks per set ranks second in the SEC and 21st in the NCAA.
- First-year starter, redshirt freshman Kayla Caffey, also snuck into the individual blocking rankings following a strong showing in Reno. Caffey tallied 18 total blocks (1.38 per set) at the Wolf Pack Tournament, including a season-high eight total stops against Nevada.
- The Chicago, Ill., native's 46 total blocks this season ranks sixth overall in the SEC.
