COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Softball (28-23, 6-14 SEC) closes its 2017 regular season this weekend (May 5-7) with a home Southeastern Conference series against No. 21 Ole Miss. The Tigers and Rebels will play a final three-game set in preparation of next week's SEC Tournament in Knoxville, Tenn.
Mizzou and Ole Miss' series opener is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (CT) on Friday evening. Game two is slated for a 2 p.m. (CT) first pitch on Saturday, while Sunday's series finale will begin at noon.
Saturday afternoon marks the Tigers' annual Hometown Heroes Game at Mizzou Softball Stadium, presented by Veterans United Home Loans. Fans with a valid military and veterans, police, firefighters, hospital and EMT identification will receive free admission to the game.
Mizzou fans are encouraged to arrive early prior to Sunday's series finale, as seniors Cheyenne Baxter, Natalie Fleming, Kirsten Mack, Chloe Rathburn and Anna Reed will be honored on the field.
All three games this weekend will broadcast live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN. Ben Arnet and former Tiger Ashley Moore will be on the call. Fans can also listen to Sunday afternoon's matchup on the airwaves, courtesy of KTGR radio. Chad Moller and Jeff Parles will have the call on 1580 AM and 105.1 FM.
Tickets will be available at the main gate through the Mizzou Ticket Office booth. Adult tickets are $8, while youth and senior tickets are available for $5 apiece. University of Missouri students can receive free admission with a valid student ID.

A Look Inside the Tigers' Loaded 2017 Schedule
- To say the Tigers have played a tough schedule this season is an understatement. Overall, Mizzou has competed in a whopping 25 games against nationally ranked opponents, including 14 matchups versus top 10 foes.
- The loaded SEC has been relentless on the Tigers this year, as all 18 games within the conference have / will come against top 25 nationally ranked opponents.
- Despite a "down" year for Mizzou Softball standards under Coach Earleywine, the Tigers have still tallied a number of impressive victories this season. In fact, Mizzou's eight wins over current top 25 RPI ball clubs rank 10th-most in the country.
- Additionally, the Tigers' 23 total games (8-15 record) against current top 25 RPI teams are tied for most in the NCAA, matching Washington and UCLA's number of matchups against elite competition this year.
Mizzou Ends Series at #17 LSU on High Note
- Mizzou ended its recent SEC losing skid this past weekend at #17 LSU (April 29) with a series finale victory in Baton Rouge. Despite dropping two of three at Tiger Park, Mizzou's pitching turned in a stellar performance in the circle.
- Overall, the visiting Tigers' hurlers limited LSU to seven runs over three games, while producing a 1.84 ERA and a miniscule .209 batting average against.
- In Mizzou's series finale win, Baxter delivered another magnificent effort in SEC action. The Norborne, Mo., native allowed one run (zero earned) over a complete game effort (eighth this season, sixth in SEC play).
- Last Saturday's series finale triumph marked Baxter's sixth SEC win against a nationally ranked top 25 opponent.
