- Mizzou fans are encouraged to pick up 2017-18 schedule magnets at arena gates. The first 4,000 fans receive a magnet, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m.
Story Lines
- Head coach Cuonzo Martin's squad picked up its first road win of the season with a 62-59 victory at UCF (Nov. 30). Graduate senior guard Kassius Robertson (5-7 3PT) led the way with 19 points.
- Robertson's effort was already the third instance this season he has hit five three-pointers in a game.
- Martin and first-year Miami (Ohio) head coach Jack Owens share a connection in that both were assistants on Purdue's coaching staff. After his playing career at Purdue (1992-95), Martin returned to coach at his alma mater from 2000-08. Owens arrived at Purdue (2009-17) to serve as an assistant coach after Martin embarked on his head coaching career.
- Emphasizing ball security and execution, Martin's group put together a sound effort in that regard at UCF, committing a season-low nine turnovers.
- The Tigers have improved immensely as a blocking team, more than doubling last season's blocks per game average (2.1) with their current 4.9-blocks-per-game average.
- Mizzou ranks second in the SEC and 18th nationally in rebounding margin per game (+9.7).
- The Tigers rank fourth in the league in three-pointers made per game (9.1).
- Mizzou's four-game trek to Orlando saw the senior duo of Robertson and forward Jordan Barnett combine for half (22-46 3PT, .478) of the Tigers' three-pointers (44-100 3PT, .440).
- Robertson (15.8), Barnett (15.5), junior forward Kevin Puryear (10.0) and freshman forward Jontay Porter (10.0) all averaged double-figures in scoring while in Orlando.
