Brown (Lakers) and Pressey (Pistons) represented Mizzou in the professional ranks this summer
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Two Mizzou Men's Basketball alums, Phil Pressey (2010-13) and Jabari Brown (2012-14), finished appearances in the NBA Summer League, carrying on Mizzou's continued presence at the professional level.
Pressey, a standout point guard in three seasons for the Tigers, helped the Detroit Pistons' squad to a first-place, 4-0 finish in Orlando (July 2-8). Pressey averaged 13.6 minutes per game over five contests, scoring 2.2 points per game while grabbing 3.0 rebounds per game.
"Flip" contributed immensely to the Pistons' 81-49 win over the New York Knicks on July 2, scoring eight points (2-of-8 FG, 2-of-4 3PT, 2-of-2 FT) and snagging 10 rebounds. In an 80-76 win on July 5 over the Indiana Pacers, Pressey recorded four steals while also tallying an assist and a rebound. Pressey recorded 196 steals as a Tiger, which is tied with Anthony Peeler (1989-92) for the most in program history.

Brown played in four games for the Los Angeles Lakers in the Las Vegas portion of NBA Summer League (July 8-18), averaging 4.8 points per game while playing 12.0 minutes per game. Brown, who led the Tigers in three-point shooting in 2013-14, shot .417 (5-of-12 3PT) from beyond the arc while in Vegas.
In a July 15 game against the Utah Jazz, Brown scored eight points (2-of-7 FG, 2-of-5 3PT, 2-2 FT) in 14 minutes while grabbing a rebound.
