Freshman Emma Allen finishes as individual runner-up (-2)
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Mizzou Women's Golf finished sixth out of 16 teams on Tuesday at the Web.com Intercollegiate at Marsh Landing Country Club. The Tigers shot 304 (+16) in the final round. Freshman Emma Allen (Southampton, England) placed second individually, closing at 2-under par after carding a final round 75 (+3).
Through six holes in the third round, Allen took a 1-shot tournament lead. She finished her stellar performance by shooting a collective 214 (69-70-75). It marked the best finish of her young career.
Senior Michelle Butler (Dunedin, Fla.) tied for eighth overall individually at 2-over par. She closed the tournament with an even par 72 after shooting 73 (+1) in each of the first two rounds. Butler recorded two birdies on the back nine during the final round.
Freshman Amanda Kim (O'Fallon, Mo.) tied for 32nd at 9-over par while competing as an individual. She shot a 77 (+5) in the third round. Senior Jessica Meek (Carnoustie, Scotland), sophomore Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) and freshman Marit Harryvan (Winschoten, Netherlands) each tied for 51st at 12-over.
Mizzou returns to action at the SEC Championship on April 15-16 in Hoover, Alabama.
