Juniors and seniors get career advice from #MizzouMade players from the past
When Mizzou Football head coach Barry Odom sits down with each football player on his team, he outlines a plan for what it will take for each individual to be successful. But in Odom's eyes, it's not a four-year plan to success, but rather a 40-year plan. That means that while each player is enrolled and playing football at Mizzou alongside the nation's elite in the Southeastern Conference, Odom is setting his players up for four years of success on the football field, but more importantly he's setting them up for 40 years of success after they earn their degree from Mizzou. That success can came on many forms; whether it is in the NFL alongside MizzouMade standouts Shane Ray and Kony Ealy or in the world of professional business. The latter part of that was on display last month as Odom brought back 18 MizzouMade standouts who have each built successful careers in the business thanks in large part to the opportunities that were afforded to them by earning their college degree and playing football at Mizzou. Mizzou Network's Erika Lorenz was there to document the unique event and caught up with Coach Odom and several former players who have gained large amounts of success following their time at Mizzou. Watch the video below to hear from Tiger greats Corby Jones, Jerome Sally and Steve Erickson as they explain how four years at Mizzou set them up for the next 40 years of their lives.
