Tigers are +5 after two rounds
TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 22 Mizzou Women's Golf is in third place following the first two rounds of the MountainView Collegiate Invitational. The Tigers are 5-over par overall after the first 36 holes on Friday. Junior Jessica Meek (Carnoustie, Scotland) is ninth individually at even par. Freshman Emma Allen (Southampton, England) is tied for 10th at 1-over.
The Tigers shot 290 (+2) collectively in the first round and followed that up with a 291 total in the second round (+3) in the second round. Meek shot a 2-under 70 in the first round and a 2-over 74 in the second.
Senior Michelle Butler (Dunedin, Fla.) is 4-over par after shooting 72 (E) and 76 (+4). Freshmen Amanda Kim (O'Fallon, Mo.) and Marit Harryvan (Winschoten, Netherlands) are both 5-over par heading into the final round. Fellow Freshman Cayce Hendrickson (Benton, Ky.) is 6-over competing as an individual.
No. 5 Georgia (-6) leads while No. 16 Iowa State (+2) is in second. Jillian Hollis of Georgia leads individually (-11) after shooting 66 and 67. Four others are tied for second place at 2-under par.
Saturday's third round shotgun start begins at 8 a.m. CT at the MountainView Golf Club.
