The Tigers and Gators compete at 6 p.m. Friday at the Hearnes Center
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 19 Mizzou gymnastics team returns home to the Hearnes Center on for its Gold Rush meet on Friday, Feb. 19 to host No. 2 Florida at 6 p.m. CT. The meet will be televised live on the SEC Network with Melissa Lee and Courtney Kupets Carter on the call.

Tiger Tidbits
- The Tigers clock in at No. 19 in this week's national rankings with an average team score of 195.646.
- Freshman Britney Ward leads the Tigers with eight event wins in 2016, including four each on beam and vault. Her wins include vault and beam crowns against both Alabama and Georgia and the vault title at Kentucky.
- Ward has already been recognized twice this season by the SEC. She claimed Freshman of the Week honors on Jan. 26, just one week after she was named the SEC Specialist of the Week.
- So far in 2016, Tiger freshman have accounted for 62.5 percent of all Mizzou routines, compared to 29.2 percent from sophomores and 8.2 percent from juniors.
- Seven meets into 2016, Mizzou's scoring average stands at 195.646 and its RQS comes in at 195.645. Last season, the Tigers had figures of 194.768 (average) and 194.935 (RQS) through their first seven meets.
- Through seven meets in 2016, the Tigers have notched 76 individual scores of 9.8 or higher, which calculates to 46.5 percent of all routines.
- Freshman Morgan Porter leads the Tigers with 17 scores of 9.8 or higher.
- Mizzou scored a season high 196.625 at the State of Missouri Meet on Feb. 5, a score that stands as the eight-highest in program history and the highest team score since 2010.
- The Tigers also closed the meet with a 49.475 on floor, a season high by 0.4 and the fifth-best event total in program history.
- Mizzou won its first-ever SEC dual meet on Jan. 22 in a 195.800-195.350 win over then-No. 9 Georgia at Mizzou Arena.
- The Tigers opened 2016 with a 195.350-195.075 win over No. 15 Illinois on Jan. 8. The score tied the program record for highest opening meet team total in program history. The 2004 squad also opened its season with the same score.
- Head Coach Shannon Welker is in his third season at the helm of the Tiger program. Welker led Mizzou to the nation's biggest improvement in 2015, as the squad finished 21st in the national rankings after coming in 41st at the end of the 2014 campaign.
- Youth will be served in 2016, as over half (eight) the 15-person roster are freshmen. Additionally, 12 of the team's gymnasts are freshmen or sophomores in 2016.
- The Tigers will face a tough schedule once again, with regular season matchups against seven teams ranked in the preseason coaches poll top 10.
