- Mizzou (8-12, 1-6) fell on the road to No. 20 Kentucky (16-4, 6-2), 88-54, Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky. Junior guard Wes Clark led the Tigers in scoring with 11 points, the sixth time this season Clark has paced his squad.
- Freshman guard K.J. Walton and freshman forward Kevin Puryear both scored in double digits on the night for the Tigers, contributing 10 points each. Walton and freshman guard Terrence Phillips led the team in rebounding, each grabbing six rebounds.
- Mizzou converted 14-of-19 shots from the free throw line (73.7 percent), the tenth time this season the Tigers have shot better than 70 percent from the charity stripe.

- After going three games without a field goal make and just two points, freshman guard K.J. Walton has responded with 14 points in 31 minutes of action in Mizzou's latest two contests.
- Walton scored four points (2-of-3 FG, 0-of-1 3PT) in 10 minutes off the bench at No. 10 Texas A&M (Jan. 23), also grabbing two rebounds and dishing out two assists.
- Walton matched his season-high in minutes played with 21 off the bench at No. 20 Kentucky (Jan. 27) and scored 10 points (3-of-5 FG, 1-of-2 3PT, 3-of-4 FT) with the opportunity.
Close Calls Against the Bulldogs
- Mizzou and Mississippi State battled it out in two close setbacks for the Tigers in head coach Kim Anderson's first season at the helm. The Bulldogs took a 77-74 result at Mizzou Arena on Feb. 14, 2015. Mizzou was powered by sophomore Johnathan Williams III's 27 points. Then-junior forward Ryan Rosburg scored 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field.
- The Bulldogs kept the Tigers out of the win column again in Starkville, Miss., on March 7, 2015, despite a strong game from then-freshman guard Namon Wright. The Tiger scored 12 points to tie for Mizzou's team-best. Mizzou also outrebounded the Bulldogs, 37-32.

The special event has been organized to raise awareness for pediatric cancer in support of assistant coach Brad Loos' five-year old daughter, Rhyan, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in October.
