Mizzou Men's Basketball (8-9, 1-3) returns home to face Georgia (9-6, 2-3) on Wednesday, Jan. 20, with a 6 p.m. tipoff scheduled on the SEC Network.
Head coach Kim Anderson's squad is looking for its second home conference win of the season after their decisive, 76-61 victory over Auburn (Jan. 9).
Junior guard Wes Clark notched his third 20-point game in a seven-game span with 26 points at No. 19 South Carolina (Jan. 16).
Freshman forward Kevin Puryear finished Mizzou's nonconference schedule averaging 11.8 points per game and has since averaged 11.6 points over the Tigers' four SEC games.
The Tigers were led by Puryear's 19 points on the road at Georgia (Jan. 6) in Mizzou's SEC opener, a 77-59 setback.
Puryear's strong free throw shooting ranks highly in the SEC. His in-conference mark of 18-of-20 (90.0-percent) ranks first. In overall games, he ranks fifth with an 81.9-percent mark (59-of-72).

Junior guard Wes Clark had a career day, scoring a career-high 26 points and dishing out a season-best eight assists, but Mizzou fell on the road at No. 19 South Carolina by a score of 81-72. The Tigers dropped to 8-9 overall and 1-3 in the Southeastern Conference, while the Gamecocks improved to 16-1 overall and 3-1 in the league.
Senior forward Ryan Rosburg shot perfectly from the field (6-of-6 FG), setting a career-high for field goal makes in a game on his way to 12 points.
The Tigers, as a team, shot impressively at South Carolina, hitting on 49.1 percent (28-of-57 FG) of their shot attempts. Head coach Kim Anderson's group converted 50.0 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half (14-of-28). The mark is the highest of the conference season for Mizzou and fourth-best of the overall season.
Sophomore forward D'Angelo Allen had eight points and six rebounds in 14 solid minutes off the bench, tying for the team-lead in boards.

Clark Doing His Thing

Junior guard Wes Clark had himself a day at No. 19 South Carolina (Jan. 16), recording his third 20-point game in a seven-game span with his career-high 26 points.
Prior to this hot seven-game stretch for Clark, the Tiger guard was averaging 7.7 points per game.
Since the Illinois game (Dec. 23), in which Clark scored a then-career-best 21 points, he has nearly doubled his scoring average to 14.9 points per game.
Clark reset his scoring mark a second time with 22 points vs. Savannah State (Jan. 2) on 9-of-10 shooting.
Clark did not miss a single shot in the first half vs. Savannah State. Clark was 5-of-5 from the field, including 1-of-1 from beyond the three-point line and 1-of-1 from the free throw line.
Clark has led Mizzou in scoring four times this season after doing so in five games during the 2014-15 campaign.

Last Time at Georgia

Freshman forward Kevin Puryear led the Tigers in scoring with 19 points as Mizzou dropped its Southeastern Conference opener at Georgia (Jan. 6), 77-59.
Joining Puryear in double-digit scoring was junior guard Wes Clark, who had 13 points.
Sophomore forward Jakeenan Gant led the team in rebounds with six while freshman guard Terrence Phillips led the team in assists with five.
