BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mizzou Volleyball will be featured in eight nationally televised broadcasts in 2016, as announced Tuesday by the Southeastern Conference. Five matches are set for coverage on SEC Network, while three matches will broadcast live on ESPNU.
"We're really excited to once again have the opportunity to showcase our program across the country," head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "The SEC Network has really aided in the exposure of NCAA and SEC Volleyball. This allows for a lot of family, friends and Mizzou Volleyball fans across the country to watch us live whenever they can't personally attend the match."
The Tigers' first four SEC matches of the 2016 season will air live on the ESPN family of networks. Mizzou's TV debut is scheduled for Sept. 21 against South Carolina on ESPNU. Mizzou's SEC home opener versus the Gamecocks is scheduled for 8 p.m. (CT) first serve. The Tigers welcome Ole Miss to the Hearnes Center on Sept. 25 and the match will also broadcast live on ESPNU. Following a three-match stretch away from national TV coverage, Mizzou returns on Oct. 19 with a home contest against LSU. SEC Volleyball will receive extensive coverage from the SEC Network for the third consecutive year in 2016. SEC Network +, the digital extension of SEC Network available on WatchESPN, is set to feature more than 250 matchups, with an additional 80 SEC Volleyball matches slated for the SEC Network television channel and ESPNU.
