Toughness Wins: Mizzou Football head coach Barry Odom has instilled that philosophy as the team prepares for spring practice. With 15 practices scheduled from March 8 through Mizzou's Black and Gold Scrimmage on April 15, Coach Odom will look to implement his brand of tough, hard-nosed, assignment-based football.

Coach Odom's brand of toughness covers all aspects of the sport and will be a trademark of the program he is leading. With the core of one of the nation's most feared defenses returning, Odom and his talented staff of assistant coaches will look for the defense to get even better this spring under the direction of co-defensive coordinators DeMontie Cross and Ryan Walters. Odom has also hired veteran offensive coordinator and former national champion quarterback Josh Heupel to lead the Tigers offense, which will feature a balanced attack.

Mizzou Network caught up with Coach Odom prior to the first spring practice. The video below outlines Odom's vision for the Tigers over the next six weeks and beyond.
