@MUWomensGolf in Fifth Place After First Round of Sunflower Invitational

Round 2 postponed due to bad weather; resumes at 7:20 a.m. CT Tuesday
MANHATTAN, Kan. - Mizzou Women's Golf sits in fifth place following the first round of the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational at the Colbert Hills Golf Course on Monday. The Tigers posted a team score of 17-over par, led by an even-par 72 from sophomore Clara Young.
The second round of play was suspended due to thunderstorms and will resume on Tuesday at 7:20 a.m. CT. The third and final round will also be played immediately following completion of the second round.
Freshman Emma Allen carded a 4-over 76 in her NCAA debut while fellow freshman Amanda Kim registered a 6-over 78. Jessica Meek rounded out the scoring with a first-round 79, including the first eagle of the season for Mizzou. Unfortunately for the Tigers, senior Michelle Butler was disqualified due to a scorecard issue after shooting a 1-under 71.
Middle Tennessee leads the tournament after posting a 7-over 295 in the opening round. SMU trails by a stroke (+8), followed by Central Arkansas (+10) and TCU (+14).
