Tiger alumni will be honored during 2015 Mizzou Homecoming weekend
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Past Mizzou female letter winners from the early 1970s – 1990s will be presented with their new letter jackets during the 2015 Mizzou Homecoming weekend (Oct. 9-10), as announced Monday by Mizzou Athletics and the Tiger Scholarship Fund.
As part of the Letter Jacket Initiative, TSF and Mizzou Athletics strived to honor and recognize those accomplished female letter winners from the 1970s – 1990s who previously didn't receive the same letter jacket as their male counterparts.
Members of the female letter jacket winners' ceremony begin their weekend on Friday, Oct. 9, with an exclusive tour of Mizzou Athletics' facilities. Later that evening, over 200 former female letter winners from 10 sports will be honored at a reception led by Director of Athletics, Mack Rhoades.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, the former Tigers will come together for a tailgate prior to Mizzou Football's Homecoming game vs. Florida. Additionally, all letter jacket recipients will be honored on Faurot Field during the Mizzou Football game.
Past female letter winners who can't make it to Columbia for the festivities will receive their letter jackets in the mail courtesy of TSF.
For any further questions on the weekend's festivities, please contact Lorraine Rodriguez from TSF at TSFEvents@missouri.edu or by phone at 573-882-0704.
