COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Mizzou Football coaching staff and wives played host to one of the largest crowds in the history of the program's Women's Football Clinic on Thursday evening. The event at the Columns Club on the east side of Memorial Stadium included over 300 participants with proceeds benefitting the Buddy Pack Program at The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri and Coyote Hill Children's Home.
The lineup started with preseason insight from head coach Gary Pinkel, offensive coordinator Josh Henson, defensive coordinator Barry Odom and team captains C Evan Boehm, CB Kenya Dennis, RB Russell Hansbrough and S Ian Simon. Wives of the coaching staff then spoke to the crowd before the group headed to field level for a special performance by the band, cheerleaders and Golden Girls. The evening concluded with a presentation on the video board and tours of the game day locker room and Golden Girls facility.
Each participant received a gift, food and beverages while 20 local businesses and vendors offered shopping opportunities with pop-up shops and donated raffle prizes.
