TSF to transition to new model for 2016-17 season
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Tiger Scholarship Fund (TSF) has announced exciting changes to its fundraising model with a focus on achieving Mizzou Athletics' mission of Preparing Champions for Life. TSF's new model will create a clearer and more concise system for donors, and will provide an opportunity for current and new donors to improve their fan experience.
"This is the start of an exciting new era for the Tiger Scholarship Fund," said associate athletic director for advancement Tim Stedman. "We want to thank the outstanding loyalty and generosity of Mizzou Nation. The TSF is absolutely committed to ensuring that everyone fully understands the details of the new model, which provides a balance between rewarding loyalties and generating the resources to compete at the highest level."
TSF will now credit all donations made to Mizzou Athletics as a singular total to determine a Donor Level. Gifts made to the following areas will be counted towards Donor Level, including; scholarship seating and parking, premium seating, facility projects, endowments, sport-specific funds for all programs, gifts-in-kind and the Total Person Program (TPP). Donors will now have the opportunity to donate directly to TPP, an industry-leading program focused on the growth and education of Mizzou's student-athletes.
Mizzou is the seventh SEC school to utilize a Donor Level First model to allocate annual benefits. TSF will prioritize each member by using Donor Rank, which is determined by annual Donor Level, then the one Priority Point total will be used to assign rank within the specific level and overall. Donor Rank will be used to allocate TSF's benefits to members, including requests for: parking passes, new or additional season tickets, seat relocation, premium seating, away game tickets, neutral site game tickets and postseason tickets.
The desire to provide increased transparency was a fundamental principal of the restructured TSF donor system. To better assist TSF members at having a clear idea of their Donor Rank, members can use the new Donor Rank Calculator. Donors and season-ticket holders are encouraged to visit TSFMizzou.com to see a hypothetical Donor Rank among fellow TSF donors. The Rank Calculator is a tool that measures the impact an increased investment may have on donors' overall experience.
The loyal support of TSF members provides funds that help Mizzou Athletics continue to guide student-athletes toward the athletic department's core values of social responsibility, academic integrity and competitive excellence. The implementation will be effective on July 1, 2015, which will impact donor benefits in the 2016-17 academic year. TSF donors will receive their 2016 TSF invoice and further donor information in November. May 31, 2016, has been designated as the 2016 TSF donation deadline, with Donor Rank locking into place following that date.
