LOOKING AHEAD
Saturday's competition is looking to be an exciting one, as the No. 17 Tiger women take on two top-15 ranked women's teams in Arkansas (No. 3) and Oklahoma State (No. 13). Among those slated to take the track for the black and gold are two current Mizzou school record holders for the outdoor season, and 16 members of the All-Time Top Ten lists.
One of the current school record holders has already seen some action this weekend, as senior Kearsten Peoples placed second in the discus throw on Friday afternoon. She will return to compete in her other record event, the shot put, on Saturday. She will also take the ring in the hammer throw, an event in which she currently holds the No. 2 performance in school history.
Joining her in the shot put field is fellow-senior Jill Rushin, who is No. 2 in Mizzou history for both the shot put and discus.
Rounding out the school record holders in attendance this weekend is senior Katrine Haarklau, who will return to the pole vault runway after her second-place finish at the Texas Relays two weeks ago. Haarklau currently holds the top bar in school history for the event with her All-American mark from 2013 - 4.35m / 14-3.25.
Joining Haarklau will be two other members of Mizzou's All-Time Top Ten list - junior Maggie Givens (No. 4) and sophomore Alyssa Applebee (No. 5).
