Lauren Reedy Earns NCAA Championships Berth

IOWA CITY, Iowa. - Mizzou junior diver Lauren Reedy (Rochester Hills, Mich.) punched her ticket to the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Monday after a third-place finish on 3-meter at the 2015 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in Iowa City, Iowa. This marks Reedy's second career NCAA berth, as she also qualified for the Championships last season.
The 2015 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships take place March 19-21 in Greensboro, N.C.
Reedy scored 690.40 points combined in prelims and finals to take third on the event and earn her bid to NCAAs. She qualified for finals after a prelims score of 343.50, including a 74.40 on her final dive to move into third heading into finals. In the finals session, Reedy posted 356.90 points, a total less than two points off her career high on the board.
Freshman Alexa Beckwith advanced to the women's 3-meter finals and took 14th with 621.50 points. She was 16th after prelims after a round of 301.60 before recording 319.90 points in finals to move up to 14th.
Also competing on the 3-meter were senior Lauren Callin (255.45) and freshmen Kendra Kieser (246.55) and Madeline McKernan (268.40).
