Their All-Time Top Ten performance was one of threethat highlighted the opening weekend of the outdoor season, along with an event win from senior Morgan Whitson, who opened her final season in the black and gold with a first-place finish in the high jump.

TEXAS RELAYS
Results
Led by junior Markesh Woodson, the men's 4x100m relay team gave a glimpse of what's in store for Mizzou's future in the sprints events. Joined by sophomore Jerrad Mason and freshmen Jonathan Holder and Kwadarrius Smith, the foursome placed 11th overall against an elite field at the Texas Relays, just missing Saturday's final with their final time of 40.68. That is the fastest time for a Mizzou team since 1983, and puts the team at No. 7 on the All-Time Top Ten list.
Three of the four men from that relay continued later in the day, taking the blocks for the 100m dash preliminaries. Woodson, an All-American in the event in 2013, was the sole Tiger to qualify for the final on Saturday, coming through in 10.24. Smith was 15th overall with a time of 10.59, a mere 0.01 outside of the All-Time Top Ten list, while Holder placed 46th in 10.89.
On the women's side, sophomore LaQuisha retook the track after missing an NCAA Championships qualification by 0.01 for the indoor 60m dash. In only her second season in the black and gold, she etched her name in a fourth All-Time Top Ten list, hitting the fifth-fastest 100m dash time in school history - 11.87.
A number of highlights also came out of the field events, including the day's onlyevent win out of the women's high jump, courtesy of senior Morgan Whitson. Whitson hit a top bar of 1.76m (5-9.25), just under her PR in the event (1.78m // 5-10), which she hit at this meet last year.
In the women's pole vault, senior Katrine Haarklau had a bigseason-opener, placing second in the field with a best bar of 4.00m (13-1.50). That mark ties her best season-opening performance, hit during the 2014 Texas Relays.
Senior Macauley Garton also had an exciting debut for his final season in the black and gold, holding the lead in the men's javelin through his fourth attempt before he was overtaken, finishingthe event in third overall. His top tossof 70.18m (230-3) is his best mark ever for the first meet of the season, and just under his current PR of 71.02m (233-0).
Closing out the day's events for the Tigers was freshman John Warren and senior Jonathan Ilori in the men's triple jump. Both made it into the finals of the event, with Warren leading the way for the pair with his sixth-place finish, while Ilori finished close behind in eighth. Warren, who ended his indoor season at No. 3 on the All-Time Top Ten list for the triple jump, now takes over the No. 7 spot for the outdoor list with his mark of 15.62m (51-3).
Events in Austin will continue on Saturday with Markesh Woodson in thefinal of the men's 100m dash, the men's 4x200m relay, sophomore LaQuisha Jackson in the 200m dash, and the pair of seniors Kearsten Peoples and Jill Rushin doubling in the discus and shot put competitions.
