BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior outside hitter Regan Peltier (Nixa, Mo.) was named to the 2015 Southeastern Conference Volleyball Community Service Team, as announced Wednesday by the SEC office.
"We're really proud of Regan and everything she has done for this program since joining us in 2012," head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "Regan was our lone senior this season and was one of our team captains. She really exemplifies what it means to be a successful student-athlete both on and off the court. Regan is an excellent representative of Mizzou Volleyball and this is a well-deserved honor."
Peltier was one of 13 recipients of this year's SEC Volleyball Community Service Team award. For the past 12 years, the SEC has highlighted an athlete from each institution who gives back to the community in superior service efforts.
Over her four-year career at Mizzou, Peltier has accumulated nearly 75 community serve hours. She has been a part of the Going Bonkers Night at "Going Bonkers" kids' place in Columbia, Mo., and the Meet & Greets at the Columbia Mall.
Peltier has participated in the Mizzou Volleyball Youth League morning sessions and the preseason Black & Gold Youth Clinic throughout her Tiger career. Additionally, she has worked with the Mid-Missouri Special Olympics, the Columbia Girl Scout Clinic, the University of Missouri Student Spirit Night and the Lenior Woods Senior Service Center "Cookie Project."
Peltier has garnered Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades the past two seasons and is on her way towards achieving a third and final award as she completes her accounting degree from the University of Missouri.
