Reedy Adds 1-Meter Title on Day Two in Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Junior Lauren Reedy continued her stellar weekend at the three-day Tennessee Diving Invite, capturing the 1-meter title Sunday (Jan. 4). The win comes after her first place finish in the 3-meter competition Saturday at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
Reedy scored 320.40 points to claim the 1-meter competition. The junior sat in fourth place following the preliminaries. She eventually solidified her victory with a score of 62.40 on her final dive of the day.
A pair of freshmen, Alexa Beckwith and Kendra Kieser, also qualified for the 1-meter final. Beckwith cracked the top 10, collecting a sixth-place finish (278.45). Kieser secured 11th place with a total score of 249.05.
In the men's 3-meter competition, freshman Hunter Fritter placed fifth to lead the Tigers with a finals score of 347.55. Junior Clark Thomas and freshman Elliot Cecil also qualified for the final, finishing ninth (318.55) and 11th (299.70) respectively.
The Tennessee Diving Invite concludes Monday (Jan. 5) on day three with the men's and women's platform events.
