• Mizzou Men's Basketball (9-21, 3-14) closes its conference schedule at Mississippi State on Saturday, March 7, at 5:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
• Head coach Kim Anderson's squad sent its seniors out of Mizzou Arena with a win, edging Auburn 63-61 on Tuesday, March 3.
• Anderson will coach his 400th game as a head coach at Mississippi State (369 games at Central Missouri).
• Senior G Keith Shamburger turned in a standout performance with 21 points and the game-winning FG with 10 seconds left.
• Freshman G Namon Wright had a career-night in the win vs. Florida (Feb. 24), scoring 28 points on 10-of-13 FG shooting and hitting 6-of-8 threes.
• The 28 points by Wright are the 4th-most for a Mizzou freshman in program history and the most for a Tiger freshman since 2000.
• Sophomore F Johnathan Williams, III continues to lead the Tigers in scoring with his 12.1 points per game.
• Shamburger's 2.7 assist/turnover ratio in SEC action ranks 2nd, while his 4.7 assists/game ranks 3rd.

LAST TIME OUT...
• Mizzou (9-21, 3-14) outrebounded Auburn (12-18, 4-13), 34-25, which is tied for the team's largest rebounding margin of the season. Missouri had a +14 cushion against Chaminade (Nov. 26) and +9 advantages against Auburn (Jan. 10) Valparaiso (Nov. 16).
• Mizzou closed the game on a 9-0 run over the final 2:44. Redshirt senior guard Keith Shamburger scored or assisted on seven of those points.
• Freshman guard Namon Wright reached double figures for the third consecutive game after scoring 10 points. He's averaging 16.0 points per game in that span after compiling just a 4.8 average in the previous eight contests.
• Freshman guard Montaque Gill-Caesar also added 10 points and five rebounds, making two 3-pointers in the process. He's made at least two treys in the last three games and shot 6-of-8 in that span.
• The victory was Mizzou's third win of the season when shooting fewer free throws than their opponent (10 compared to Auburn's 14 attempts).
• Mizzou held standout Auburn forward Cinmeon Bowers, who scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the Jan. 10 meeting, to just eight points and four rebounds.

A LOOK AT THE OPPONENT... MISSISSIPPI STATE
• Mississippi State (12-18, 5-12) hosts Mizzou on Saturday, March 7, having dropped seven of its last eight games, as well as five-straight. The Bulldogs are coming off a two-game road swing to host their Senior Night at Humphrey Coliseum.
• Head coach Rick Ray's squad picked up its last victory at Mizzou on Feb. 14 and have surrendered the following five games by an average margin of 8.2 points.
• MSU has two players averaging double-figure scoring in Craig Sword (10.8 points per game) and Gavin Ware (10.2). Ware additionally pulls down an impressive 7.2 rebounds per game.

LAST TIME
• Mizzou and Mississippi State battled to the wire in the earlier meeting this season (Feb. 14), with the Tigers leading briefly down the stretch on a Keanau Post lay-in with 4:29 remaining in the game.
• MSU kept the Tigers at an arm's length the rest of the way, even as a Johnathan Williams, III three-pointer with 0:01 on the clock brought the score to 75-74 in favor of the Bulldogs. Williams finished with a career-high 27 points.

SERIES HISTORY
• Mizzou leads the all-time series against Mississippi State, 4-2, with MSU's second win coming earlier this season by a score of 77-74 (Feb. 14).
• The Tigers and Bulldogs met up for a two-game series for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. Mizzou won an 83-75 game in Columbia (Jan. 2, 2007) and dropped an 87-75 game in Starkville (Dec. 30, 2007).
• Head coach Kim Anderson has been involved in the series, as he recorded a double-double in the first all-time meeting between the two programs. Anderson, then a sophomore, scored 11 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to help Missouri to a 102-78 win over Mississippi State in Columbia during the Show-Me Classic on Dec. 7, 1974.

GLANCING AHEAD TO SEC TOURNAMENT...
• Mizzou will play in one of the SEC Tournament's First Round games on Wednesday, March 11, with both of the evening games slated for broadcast on the SEC Network.
• The #12 vs. #13 game begins at 6 p.m. CT, with the #11 vs. #14 game beginning 25 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
• The 2015 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament returns to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn, with the facility hosting the event for the fifth time (2001, 2006, 2010 and 2013). Also the home of the NHL's Nashville Predators, Bridgestone Arena has the distinction of being one of the busiest venues in the Unites States over the past decade and a half, hosting more than 18 million guests during that time. Seating capacity is approximately 19,395 for basketball games.
