Brad McMakin, Arkansas Head Coach
On the team advancing in the standings...
"We fought through a tough day yesterday and we didn't play real well. We knew scores could be low out here so we had a goal of being seven under each day; yesterday we came up short. We knew we had to come out and play well today and the guys were in a great mindset of shooting low. We got off to a good start and it continued all day. We made a bunch of putts and finished 18-under par."
On competing with Missouri...
"It's nice to have them in the SEC now. We try to see them as much as we can in golf. We knew they were going to be really tough at home and have a chance to win the tournament. We've really been trying to keep pace with them and knew we would be in good shape."
Taylor Moore, Arkansas T2
On his play today...
"I gave myself a few more looks today and was a little bit more comfortable with the course. I got off to a good, steady start and birdied three out of my first six. I tried to give myself some looks coming in and birdied some on the back end as well."
On team's mentality coming into Friday's round...
"We were tied for fourth coming into today, so we just wanted to get ourselves in a better spot. I think we did pretty well and got after it by hitting some birdies today."
Mark Leroux, Missouri Head Coach
On the team's second round performance...
"Well I just looked at the scores and I thought we did pretty well. I didn't realize that the guys were playing that well. It looked like they were struggling right out of the gate. Old Hawthorne is a little bit easier on the back nine and I thought our guys would hang in there, which they did."
On Hunter Kraus...
"He is definitely playing some of his best golf right now. It's not totally unexpected. He's a young man who has multiple things on his plate throughout the year and now he's down to one: playing golf."
On heading into tomorrow's final round...
"Playing at home is definitely an advantage. It's not going to hurt us. I would think that we're in the driver's seat."
Hunter Kraus, Missouri 1
On his play today...
"I didn't hit too well today, but I scored and putted pretty well today. I don't know where we are and I don't want to know, but I think we're in a pretty good spot."
On the season...
"It's been pretty awesome. We struggled a little bit in the fall and we were almost on the bubble for making regionals. We played well this spring. I didn't go to two tournaments so we had guys step up and play well who don't get to play well. Now we're here and at home. It's exciting and Nationals would be a lot of fun."
Emilio Cuartero, Missouri T7
On his play today...
"I feel great. We had a lot of pressure and the fact that we still shot 7-under today means things are going pretty well going into the third day. I didn't play my best, but the good thing about playing at home is that sometimes you know where to miss and at the end those smaller mistakes make a difference."
On playing in front of his family...
"It's awesome. This is the first time they've come to Missouri and the first time I've had family members follow me since I got to the United States. It's a great feeling, that even if I don't hit a really good shot, I have my family here to cheer me up."
