Despite strong pushes from opposing teams in the final round, Mizzou Men's Golf held on to win the Bandon Dunes Championship Tuesday. The Tigers (+11) earned their third victory of the season and first since September. This was also the first time this season that all Tiger starters finished in the Top 30.
UC Davis (+13) had the best final round of any team, shooting 1-over-par and finishing in second place. No. 16 Washington (+18) pulled into third at the conclusion of the tournament. Mizzou also finished ahead of No. 48 Colorado (+21) who tied for fourth and No. 39 Oregon (+38) who finished in ninth.
Cuartero was once again the top finisher for the Tigers. The senior (+1) tied for fourth, which is his fourth Top 10 finish on the year.
Wilson Sundvold (+4) played another good round today, finishing in a tie for seventh. With this finish, the Columbia, Mo., native matched his top finish of the season. He previously tied for seventh at the Turning Stone Tournament.
Ryan Zech (+5) also contributed a solid effort and finished the tournament in a tie for 12th place.
Linus Lilliedahl (+9) and Euan Walker (+9) each tied for 27th. Walker was the most improved Tiger from the first round. After shooting an 8-over-par 79 on Sunday, the freshman dropped seven strokes to shoot a 72 Monday and shot a 71 in Tuesday's final round to secure his place among the Top 30.
The Tigers return to action March 23-25, when they'll compete at The Hootie at Bulls Bay in Awendaw, S.C.
