Peoria, Ill. - Sophomore Jordan Frericks' finished with a career-best 27 points added to 17 rebounds for her third double-double of the season, but it wasn't enough to lift Mizzou Women's Basketball over the Bradley Braves. Mizzou falls to 5-2 on the season with Saturday's 75-64 loss to Bradley.
Coming off of a schedule of strong opponents, Bradley proved to be a strong matchup for the Tigers. The two teams traded baskets early in the first half, with Bradley eventually pulling ahead of Mizzou to take a 34-23 lead into the locker room at halftime. Frericks led Mizzou through the first, earning her third double-double of the season. She tallied 10 first-half points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Despite the halftime deficit, Mizzou outscored the Braves in the paint, 18-10 before the break.
With 15 minutes left in the game, Frericks knocked down three buckets in a row for the Tigers to cut into the Bradley deficit (42-37) and spark momentum for the Tigers. Morgan Stock added a layup to bring the Tigers within three as the clock reached 13 minutes, but Bradley responded with two free throws to keep the lead. Bree Fowler hit two from the charity stripe herself and Mizzou was back within three. Bradley pulled away with a 7-0 run, and the Tigers couldn't keep up.
