
Lauren Reedy Tabbed as SEC Female Diver of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second time this season, junior diver Lauren Reedy earned accolades from the Southeastern Conference, as she was named the SEC Female Diver of the Week on Tuesday. The Rochester Hills, Mich., native also earned the same honor on Oct. 28.
Reedy, who hails from Rochester Hills, Mich., swept the springboards and set two personal bests at the Mizzou Invite last weekend. She claimed the win on 3-meter with after tallying a career best 358.65 points in finals, a score that also moved her into second all-time at Mizzou in the event. Reedy then took first on 1-meter for her fourth win on that event in five tries this season. She closed out the meet competing platform for the first time his season and notched a career best 257.10 points in prelims before ultimately finishing fifth on the event.
A 2014 All-SEC second team honoree and a 2013 SEC All-Freshman Team selection, Reedy has claimed seven event titles so far this season while setting career bests on all three events. She has now won SEC Female Diver of the Week honors three times in her Tiger career.
Reedy and the rest of the Mizzou divers next compete at the 2014 USA Diving Winter National Championships, Dec. 16-21, in Columbus, Ohio.
