Mizzou Athletics was honored, as part of its Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, to serve as the reunion venue for Sgt. Adam Coats of the Missouri National Guard 276th Engineer Company, and his family.

Through our partnership with the Missouri National Guard, we've honored a solider or members of their family during a timeout of each home football game this season. Sgt. Coats had just returned from Afghanistan, so for this game, the timing was right to welcome a soldier home. After Adam's wife, Tammi, along with son Christopher, and brothers Mike and Steve, were welcomed as normal, Public Address announcer Randy Moehlman had a slight change to the script. Here's how it looked on the Memorial Stadium video board:
