
MUTigers.com will sit down with Mizzou gymnastics' incoming freshman this summer. This week we get to know Kennedi Harris.

Club: Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta

What made you choose Missouri?
Kennedi: "I came here for summer camp about a year and a half ago and I just fell in love with the campus and the environment. Everybody was so nice. It just felt like the right school for me."
You've been on campus for a while now. How is college so far?
Kennedi: "It's been pretty stressful. I think that's any freshman's first take on college but it will get better as I go on."
What is your favorite thing about college life?
Kennedi: "Freedom, definitely. And the people are so nice."
How did you get started with gymnastics?
Kennedi: "I started with a Mommy and Me class. From there I went to Level 2 and then straight up."
What is your favorite event?
Kennedi: "Floor, I love the dancing."
What is your favorite gymnastics memory to this point?
Kennedi: "My favorite gymnastics memory is probably making it to Nationals my senior year. I was out the whole season and they didn't think I was going to make it but I pushed through and made it."
What do you like to do outside the gym?
Kennedi: "I like to hang out with friends, shop, sleep."
If you didn't do gymnastics, what sport would you play?
Kennedi: "Tennis. It's in the family, my mom and my grandma were tennis players."
What is something most people don't know about you?
Kennedi: "I like watching classic movies."
