COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Softball will play eight games as part of its annual fall practice schedule. The games will be grouped into four Friday doubleheaders that will be played at University Field on the afternoons of Sept. 19, Sept. 26, Oct. 3 and Oct. 10.
Head coach Ehren Earleywine's squad returns 13 veterans from last season's team that posted a 43-18 overall record and advanced to the program's eighth-straight NCAA Regional. The Tigers additionally welcome eight newcomers to the group.
The Tigers begin "Fall Ball" on Friday, Sept. 19, with Crowder College (Neosho, Mo.) at 1:30 p.m. and Heartland Community College (Normal, Ill.) at 3:30 p.m.
Games on Friday, Sept. 26, will be against North Central Missouri College (Trenton, Mo.) at 3 p.m. and Highland Community College (Highland, Kan.) at 5 p.m.
The doubleheader on Friday, Oct. 3, matches Mizzou up against Mineral Area College (Park Hills, Mo.) at 3 p.m. and Butler Community College (El Dorado, Kan.) at 5 p.m.
Mizzou's fall schedule concludes on Friday, Oct. 10, with Jefferson College (Hillsboro, Mo.) at 3 p.m. and Central Methodist (Fayette, Mo.) at 5 p.m.
Admission to fall games is free of charge. Mizzou's opponents will play a third game following the Tigers' doubleheaders on Sept. 26, Oct. 3 and Oct. 10. The fall schedule is subject to change, with potential changes being announced as needed.
