
Missouri Golf Seventh At 2013 NCAA Columbus Regional

No. 29 Missouri Golf is seventh after 36 holes of play at the 2013 NCAA Columbus Regional and the Tigers will look for a strong final-round performance to move into the Top Five and advance to the 2013 NCAA Finals.
Hosted at Ohio State University's Scarlet Golf Course, the top five teams from the Columbus (Ohio) Regional site will advance to the 2013 NCAA Championships. The Tigers (+27) are currently eight shots back of New Mexico (+19) and Texas Tech (+19), who are tied for fifth. UNLV (+16) and South Carolina (+16) share the Regional lead.
Ryan Zech (+3) continues to lead Missouri after shooting a 4-over-par 75 on Friday. The sophomore is tied for 10th overall thanks to his 1-under-par 70 on Thursday. Zech is one of two Tigers among the Top 20 individuals, joining junior Emilio Cuartero (+5), who shot a team-best 73 on Friday and is 19th in the individual standings.
Senior Jace Long (+10) is third among Missouri scorers and tied for 45th overall. Long opened with a 77, but improved with a 75 on Friday.
Jacob Fair (+11) and Hunter Kraus (+16) round out the Tiger efforts through two rounds. Fair shot 78 and Hunter shot 83.
The third round of action continues on Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
For advancing teams, the 2013 NCAA Finals will take place May 28-June 2 at The Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta. Georgia Tech is the host institution for this year's championships.
